AceCellular can be thought of as a chemical reaction between 3 visible reactants, coloured reg, green and blue. It is controlled by many parameters:

amount is how much of the source is mixed into the cellular reaction

divergence is how much the rules of the reaction are influenced by the source

viscosity is the degree of acyclicity in the reaction matrix

self is the level of reactant which produces the highest increase in itself

peak is the level of reactant which produces the highest increase in other reactants

blur is the underlying rate at which reactants spread

rate is the speed of reaction

death is the rate at which reactants decrease. In older versions of the plugin this parameter was fixed at 0

spin is the difference in response to other reactants. In older versions of the plugin there was a parameter peak2. The relationship between these parameters is given by spin = 0.5 + peak – peak2

squareness is the degree to which the reaction depends on diagonal neighbours

far rate is the degree to which the reaction depends on next-nearest neighbours
